Bun in the Oven: Bump Update (36 Weeks)

O man I am really starting to feel pregnant! I officially can not see my feet when I look down and my legs and ankles are so swollen I can barely recognize them. I have been wearing compression tights to work which make my legs feel better but when I take them off my the tops of my thighs have muffin top. We went on Thursday to the doctor and they said I was one centimeter dilated and that it was a good sign for this stage of the pregnancy. The heart rate was in the 150s and they said everything was looking good which I am always thankful for.

Baby Crofford also had their final shower this past weekend. Cindy and my Mom did a great job with all the decorations and games and they both made some handmade items which are super cute! We are so blessed that so many people love our little baby and we cannot wait for everyone to meet itty bitty. On Sunday we took all our duplicates back (dang our registry for not taking items off, we had a total of 5 space saver high chairs and 4 boppy pillows along with some other duplicate items). The girls at work surprised me with a shower and one of the gifts was the video monitor that I wanted. I kept telling Kyle I was "not ready" to have the baby because we did not have the monitor (this was the only baby item I said I had to have). So now I guess I can officially say "I'm ready". The room is all ready for itty bitty Crofford to make their arrival and I am so excited.

Baby C you will be here before we know it, Mommy and Daddy cannot wait to meet you!!

Showered with Love {Baby Crofford's Stork Themed Shower}

Another fabulous shower to celebrate the arrival of Baby C coming in a month!! Connie and Carrie did not forget about any detail and I LOVED all of their creative decorations for the stork themed shower. It really is a blessing to have so many people love your little one and they have not even met them yet. They really did not forget about any detail, from the bottle candles to the bow tie on the stork cake. They thought of everything and I felt so loved by how much time and hard work they put into everything!

Bun in the Oven: Bump Update {Week 35}

This past week has been jam packed with all kind of fun things. For starters, we got to see itty bitty again. It is always fun seeing our little mini and even though I'm not sure what I am looking at I love that I can see the baby. My fluid level was great and the baby is in the 80th percentile. She measured the stomach and said the stomach was also in the 80th percentile and that we had a little chunk :) She estimated that the baby was around 6 lbs and that everything looked great. I am always nervous when we go to an appointment because of the things we have had to do so far in the pregnancy (which I know people have more major complications than we do) but I still feel a lot of pressure since I am the one carrying our child. I saw the baby yawn on the screen which was really fun to see, it happened really quick so Kyle missed it.

The babies due date is exactly one month away! Everyone keeps asking if we're ready and my response is no and Kyle's is yes :) I think once the room is complete and we have a couple more items that I think we will need for when the baby arrives I will feel more "ready". Right now I am okay with the baby not coming since I want them to continue to grow so that they are healthy. I have been feeling more emotional lately and working at a hospital has not been helping with this. When I see a little kid or hear them call for their mommy I just melt, it makes my little heart want to burst that I will one day get to hear those sweet words.

I am feeling pretty good but from my knees down it still looks really bad. My compression tights make my legs feel good but they do not change how my feet look. They are still really swelled and I am still rocking the kankles. My hands also feel really tight and for some reason my right wrist has been hurting when I move it a certain way.

Like I mentioned we had lots of fun things going on this weekend. Friday night I went to see Tammy Trent at my church with Carrie, Connie, and my mom. I had never heard of her before so I was not sure what it was going to be but it was really great. She is a awesome singer and her testimony about trusting God even through some really hard things was truly amazing. Saturday we got to see our nephew Jeremy play his first t-ball game of the season and then we headed off to a wedding at Ault Park. I love dressing up and a lot of our friends were at the wedding so it was a great time :) Sunday Baby C had another adorable shower. We are so thankful to have such great families that love our little one so much :)

Baby Crofford's First Shower

Baby Crofford had their first shower this weekend. My friends Ashley and Leah came up from Lexington to join in the festivities and I was so excited to catch up with them. My friends Brittany and Tiffiany threw the shower for me and they did such a great job!! No detail was left out and it was a precious Jungle themed showered with pinterest ideas all over :) My friends did such a great job with making me and the babe feel extra special! I had such a great time getting to catch up with friends I do not get to all that often and it was really nice that everyone had someone to talk to. I loved that everyone could start up conversations with new people and by the end of the party everyone was chit chatting away. My friends crack me up so it we had lots of laughs and I beyond thankful for all of their friendships.

O how Ashley cracks me up! Her gift was in a big babies r us bag and she forgot that she had threw some other stuff in the bag. You can see towards the bottom of the photo Ashley had a pile of papers (including her tax return) that she left in the bag lol 

Ashley really had us all laughing when she told me about the second gift that she was giving me. It is the below hooded towel. She said she found it at her condo and was not sure who it belongs to (since their are no little kids in her family) so she decided to give it to me. We all laughed really hard at Ashley telling us about the gift. Leah politely told Ashley that she really did not need to tell us that she had it laying around her condo :) My friends are so funny!

The precious pinterest inspired gifts. Each guess signed the onesie in the middle (I'm going to take this to my other showers and to the hospital for people to sign) and also you signed your name on the silhouette you thought the baby is. Loved how creative and thoughtful my friends are!

I am really excited about the child's bible! I have heard that is really does help children understand the bible in an easy way. One of my other friends got me a baby book to record all the fun memories throughout our little ones life. I was just talking to Carrie about this so I am really glad someone bought it for me :)
