Can it get any better than this

I LOVE when my grandparents come to visit!! This year my grandpa could not make the trip so my Grandma and Aunt Louise {she lives in Arizona} came to visit. I can not express in words how much I love my Grandma {she is one of my FAVORITE people}. My cousin hosted a party in honor of my grandma and aunt being in town.

Another year....

Tomorrow I will be another year older..the big 2-2 ;)  This year my birthday will be unique and extra special!! As I mentioned, my grandma is in from Florida and has agreed to make me breakfast tomorrow {of course she would, she's a grandma :)} Some of my favorite memories from my childhood was my grandma making me breakfast as I sat on my grandpa's lap and stealing his bacon when he was not looking :) My grandma has not been in town for my birthday since I was ten or eleven so it means soo much to me that she happens to visit when it's my birthday!!!

Another special part of my birthday besides spending time with my family is I get to spend time with this guy.

I get to celebrate my birthday as a married women {treat and something new} I will enjoy waking up and seeing Kyle there {he will just be getting off work} Kyle is off work all day :) and we always surprise each other with our gifts. This year I bought Kyle a chainsaw for his birthday, he was shocked! {yes, I know a chainsaw is kind of dangerous but its something he really wanted but did not think he would EVER get}


This weekend will also be filled with spending more time with all my relatives, homework and watching this team play at Paul Brown Stadium on Saturday night.

Another special treat is my birthday is by the first day of Fall. Enjoy the first day of fall {even though it feels like the first day of summer, 94 is not fall weather. But to be honest I like hot summer days way more than I like cold days}

My side is already hurting....

I can hardly contain my excitement for tonight's show line up!!! I usually don't get home from school until ten at night and by that time I just want to go to bed, but I was introduced to Modern Family by Connie and Timmy {kyles madre and brother, who are also going to DVR my shows for me :)}. Wednesday nights are now my favorite TV show night of the week! I love the week of my birthday because all of the shows are new again {special treat}.

You bring joy to my little heart by providing me with good ole humor {not filled with sexual content, people tearing each other down, or vulgar language}. I can hardly wait to see where this 24 episode journey will take us...I don't know if my side and stomach can handle it :) Sadly you will be DVR due to school but don't be sad...it just means I can watch you over and over again!!

O Happy Day

This is one HAPPY DAY for many reasons

2. I am taking off tomorrow to spend time with one of my favorite people, my Grandma :)

Thus the weekend is almost here for me!!  It will be filled with these....

I have to get a new social security card, license, title to my car, new bank card, and phone bill in my name {lots of errands tomorrow}

Saturday after spending time with my grandma and doing homework. Kyle and I will be going to the 75th Anniversary for Delhi Fire Department. I am excited to meet more of the people he works with and be introduced as his WIFE :)

Sunday will be filled with church, more homework {literally, I have so much hw to do!}, spending time with my grandma, and taking our boy Bentley to obedience school {hope he likes it}



Not really what I expected.....

Last night I opened our mailbox and to my surprise I saw "Jenny Crofford", my first piece of mail with my new name :) {technically, i am still legally Jenny Jackson since I have not had time with work to change my name due to their crazy hours that do not fit with my work hours} To my dismay it was a bill, {bummer} not a cute birthday card {which is coming up :)}or magazine, but something I have to pay {boo}

It is exactly one month ago Kyle and I said "I do". I know one month is not really anything to celebrate but I want to remember what our first month of married life was like {i have an awful memory sometimes}. For starters, my favorite thing about married life is talking about our day before we go to bed {this is my FAVORITE}. When we were dating, we use to call each other and talk on the phone before we went to bed but when you notice the person on the other end of the phone is not responding anymore you realize they have fallen asleep {not really great conversations lol} It has been such a joy to talk about what has been going on, what we are learning, and praying together. The cherry on top is getting a good night kiss right before my sleepy eyes shut for the night, priceless.

Speaking of my sleepy eyes, sharing a bed with someone is not as easy as we thought it was going to be :) Kyle said he has gotten the least amount of sleep this past month! {he's a firefighter who works sometimes a 100 hours a week {literally, but that includes sleeping at night if they don't get any runs}and this past month he has gotten the LEAST amount of sleep} We really do wake up about 2 to 3 times in a night. Sometimes Kyle is not at home because of work so we both joke we will get a good night sleep since we are not sharing a bed :)

There are other things that I love about being married but these are the two I am most aware of this month :)

It has ARRIVED......

Last night after a long day of work, school, picking up Bentley from Tim and Connie's at 10:30 I was ready to jump into bed until....I saw a pretty, perfect package from Spark Photos. That's right...our wedding photos arrived!!!! Here is a little sneak peak...more to come on here and Facebook :)

It's here again friends....the weekend! It seems like my weekends lately have been jammed full of fun events {which is fine with me as long as it's not full with school}

This weekend I will be making the decorations for Carrie's Baby shower next weekend {excited to share my the ideas that I stole was inspired by :)} I will also be trying to make these bad boys.....

My friends Ashley and Leah are coming up from lexington {extra special treat!!} We will be traveling to this store to finds all kinds of goodies. I always tell Ashley "I am showing you the ways of the world" when I introduce her to a store she has never heard of or seen {another example of this is introducing her to Forever 21, we will also make a stop there :)}

As most people know I LOVE FIREWORKS!! {confession.. I always thought it would be cool if  Kyle proposed to me by spelling my name in fireworks!! he did something even better that I will cherish forever!} The WEBN fireworks are on Sunday: good seats, great friends and fireworks what more could a girl ask for :)

Monday=NO WORK

Sadly this day will be spent doing hw but a plus is I can sleep in with this guy :)

Reason 1,089,562 why I love Kyle

On our honeymoon we got to listen to this funny guy for part of the trip on Kyle's ipod {not always the most appropriate but some things he talks about are just too funny}

Kyle was cracking up as we listened to Larry the cable guy crack one joke after the other. Kyle and I have a different sense of humor, so he was dying laughing and I would look at him and wonder what was sooo funny :)

Larry was talking about his wife cutting coupons and when they got to the check-out she would whip out her coupon book. Larry's wife would brag that she saved them $1.50 by using all of her coupons, Larry's response "well book the cruise" {we both thought this joke was funny, obviously larry tells it more in depth and better than me :)}

So Kyle and I were at Target exchanging some wedding gifts and buying more gifts for the house. Once all the exchaning/buying was done we had a gift card for .50. I told Kyle "just throw it away" His repsonse "No, we can use it" {Really? we can USE it, it's less than a dollar...we will probably lose it} I looked at him with a serious face and said "well book the cruise" {instant laughter}

i LOVE when I Kyle and I laugh together and I like that sometimes kyle thinks I'm funny {kyle def. more funny than I am any day} So thanks babe for making me laugh and always putting a smile on my face by making me think I'm funny!
