Happy Birthday Husband!

Kyle is 23 today! Kyle and I make birthdays a big deal! We are always trying to get great gifts for each other and we are both creative in how we give the present. This year I found this scratch off idea and knew that was how I was going to reveal Kyle's birthday present.

He had two hearts he had to scratch off to find out what his present was

The first heart had a picture of a bucket + a list. So Kyle knew it was going to be something on his bucket list

  Once he scratched it off he realized we were going to a Notre Dame football game! He has been talking about it for awhile and we are going to the first home game this season!

I also saw this idea and wanted to make them for Kyle's birthday! The flags are made of scrapbook paper and toothpicks, the golf ball is an edible pearl, the grass is green sanding sugar and the sand trap is made from graham crackers.

Happy Birthday Babe! I am really excited to go to Notre Dame with you! Love you very much :)

Our sweet nephew is 4 today! Kyle has to share his birthday with Jeremy but I don't think he minds too much! His birthday party was themed Thomas the Train and my sister-in-law Cindy did a great job with making all the decorations, cake, and food. I hope Jeremy appreciates all the cool birthday parties he has had when he gets older!

The summer days sure do make Kyle and Bentley tired. I found them like this after a day in the sun.

Oh nothin's sweeter

Nothin's sweeter than summertime for me. The sun shining, a more relaxed schedule, tan lines, and long summer days are why I love summer. Here are some pictures of what we have been up to lately.

A new look

Bentley is sporting a new, shorter look for the summer! The hot days we have been getting I know he feels better with less hair and my sweeper does not have to work as hard either :)

Saying Goodbye

Kyle's Grandpa Charlie passed away on July 5th. Kyle's grandma did not want the service to be a sad time since Charlie is with the Lord now so we had a service celebrating his life. There were lots of pictures of him through the years and many family members shared memories they will never forget about Charlie. Charlie had Alzheimer's disease with other health issues which led him to be in a nursing home for a little over a month and where he passed away at. Kyle's grandma has been surrounded by great friends and family which is helping her to move forward. Here are a few pictures from the celebration.

Carrie "recruited" me to help her make photo boards. She thinks she is not crafty but she did a great job putting different backgrounds behind the pictures!

Charlie will be missed when we have family gatherings but knowing he is with the Lord and at peace is very comforting!

Meet me down the aisle {Morgan and Allison's Wedding}

On July 16th we saw two of our friends get married. It was at a pretty church with beautiful stain glass windows. The reception was at a country club that was real fancy with waiters walking around with appetizers and serving us dinner. Kyle loved the mini pizzas {that's what they tasted like but they had a fancy name} and took full advantage of the waiters walking around with those :) This was also the first wedding we went to since getting married. I always loved going to weddings before to get ideas for our wedding but now I look at the decorations and think about how I can use them in our house :)

Is taking a nap on the beach listening to the waves with Kyle...o a girl can dream. All of these pictures make my heart beat fast, I CAN NOT wait to go to the beach.

It is hard to believe we have almost been married for a year! One of the best thing about being married for me is having a partner to do life with. What I have seen in our marriage is that it provides someone in my life that I can lean on when something happens that I never expected or I experience great joy I know that Kyle will be right there beside me through it all. It may not always seem that way when our schedules are filled with many things and we do not always have time for us to be with one another but I know that Kyle reallys does cherish me as his wife and to see his heart for people is truly a blessing. I am excited to see where God takes us on this adventure of life. I am really glad I get to do this journey with you babe!

Have you ever

Have you ever had one of these?

Kyle and I had never had a massage until this past Saturday. I found a great deal on CincySavers that you could get a full body massage for one hour for $25! Kyle had been wanting to get one for awhile and with this great deal we could not pass it up. Kyle and I were able to get a couples massage which was nice but the whole time I wanted to laugh. The atmosphere was very quiet and no one talked {since they probably wanted you to relax :)} but the whole time all I could think about was Kyle doing something silly and me bursting out laughing. The only thing I did not like was having the oil all over me when I left. It felt sticky once someone was not massaging you anymore :) Kyle loved the massage and will probably want to do it again.
