Wishin and hopin and prayin {lots and lots} and I can finally say that THIS girl has a new job!! After applying for lots of jobs, having 6 phone interviews, 11 in-person interviews for different jobs I finally got to hear those sweet words on Thursday "We would like to offer you a position"! And then, a short time later I got to say the sweet words I have been wanting to say for awhile "I'm putting in my two weeks notice". I am sooo excited to have a new job, I cannot explain it in words.
Some of the things I am really looking forward to are:
*Being able to use my degree
*Truly feeling like my job will be making a difference in someones life
*Room for growth in the hospital
*My drive to work will go from 60 miles round trip from my house to 15!
*Working with people who want to make a difference in someones life and not always worried about making a profit
Though the journey was long and I wanted to lose heart the Lord was always faithful. There were times when I wanted to give up but the Lord continued to help make my current job bare able and my trust in the Lord has been strengthened through this journey. Kyle has been a great support for me during this time and I'm really glad that we were in this together. My family and friends were also incredibly encouraging through all of this and I am blessed that I have so many people in my life that I can share life with.
Now it's time to celebrate this exciting news and only 8 more work days to go at my current job :)

Being Renewed
I consider myself a patient person, it usually takes awhile before something pushes me to my breaking point. I would not say I am at my breaking point but the Lord is truly showing me what it looks like to be patient and to continue to trust in his ways. I have mentioned before that I have been trying to find a new job. I have worked for my current employer for three and half years and I have probably not liked working there six months after I started. When I first started working there we got engaged, wanted to buy a house, and I wanted to pay for school so I knew that I had to be a grown-up and keep working even when I did not like it at all. There are a combination of things that I don't like about my job and last year when I got my bachelor's degree I thought I would be leaving there soon after. The Lords ways are faithful and just {Psalm 111:7} and he has had other plans.
The job searching process of: looking up companies to apply to-applying-interviewing {in my case I average at least two-three times for a job}-waiting for their decision to be made, can be tiring. When I first got my degree I wanted to work for a hospital or college. I really enjoyed my co-op at Cincinnati State and I wanted to be in an environment where I knew I was making the difference in someones life {even though I know my role may not be of high importance}.
Though this process has been long and weary the Lord continues to renew me and to give me hope {2 Corn. 4:16}. Whenever I get a interview I am beyond thankful for another opportunity to be able to find a job where I can use my gifts and utilize the degree I have. Over the past 6 months I have had lots and lots of interviews, it's hard for Kyle to keep up :). I have interviewed with all the hospitals in the Cincinnati area {for more than one job at some of them}, and one of the colleges. Between phone interviews and in-person interviews I have probably had 20 interviews. 20 interviews and no new job is why I feel like the journey has been soooo long. Kyle has been great about reminding me that the Lord has my future plans in his hands {Jeremiah 29:11} and my family and friends have also been great about encouraging me.
I can feel the Lord continuing to tell me he is with me through this. I recently started a new Beth Moore devotional {Stepping Up} and here are words from Beth Moore that the Lord has been using to speak truth in my life:
"Today those of us who need it are going to accept biblical permission to have a "woe to me" moment with God concerning some difficult environments we're enduring".
"I'm reminded that God never doses off, even when for a time the air is smooth and the way is clear. He doesn't jolt awake when the earth rumbles beneath your feet. He is in perfect attendance to your every step"
"Every obstacle we face and every battle we fight on the way will be worth it"
"God's delivering us from every ounce of trial will never develop the relationship that occurs when God shows himself right in the midst of difficulty, delivering us through it"
"When our lives are immersed in Him, every ending, everything we believe to be the death of us is instead a hand-engraved invitation to a new beginning"
I am continuing to wall paper my mind with his truth and I may not understand what the Lord is doing now but later I will {John 13:7}.

EL1TE
When Kyle and I were dating he use to say that it was a "requirement" that I knew all the years Kentucky had won a National Championship. I use to have pop quizzes to see if I actually remembered what the dates were :). Well now I can add another year to the list!
