Reason 1,100,562 why I love Kyle

I love that Kyle is so handy! Now that we have had our house for over a year, Kyle has made improvements to our bathroom, garage, laundry room, put all new light fixtures in and landscaped outside. I wanted to showcase some of the changes he has done to our bathroom.

Before: Outdated mirror with a light fixture that had the outlet in it. No storage and all our stuff was a mess on the shelves This is what it looked like when he took it out.

After: Two beautiful cabinets with lots of storage, two outlets{it's a lot easier to blow dry my hair now}, and a new light fixture.

There is one more project that needs to be finished and then our bathroom will be complete! Thanks babe for being handy and making our house look great!

From Goodbye to Hello

A couple of weeks ago I said goodbye to my 1999 Saturn. We had lots of trips {190,000 miles of going here and there}, a few dings{but none were noticeable due to your plastic exterior}, some replaced parts {a new door when I accidentally ran over something and the bottom ripped off :)}, and lots of memories. But all good things must come to an end and when you wouldn't start anymore I knew our time had come to say goodbye.

But don't worry, someone else is now enjoying you and I'm doing just fine in my new ride!!

Here are the facts:

I had mentioned never to shop at Carmax and I still stand firm to that decision. Here is what happened, we saw a car on their website that looked like a winner: great price, low miles, and the features we wanted. Kyle and his dad looked at the car and talked to a sales lady who said they could hold the car for 72 hours for us and later that night Kyle and I went to test drive it with the intention of buying it and had a different sales lady help us. They ran our financing and were going to offer us 11% {the sales lady said this is normal, is she on drugs?}! The lady helping us told us we could get financing through a bank and bring a paper back and they would honor the banks loan. We also had her transfer a car to their lot for no charge so we could compare the two cars. So we left with a letter basically saying that was our car and that we were getting financing through someone else. So we got financing thorough US Bank for 4.5% {now that's was more reasonable} and Kyle called on Wednesday night to make sure we could come and get the car because US Bank was sending a check for the car amount. He was informed that they were selling our car and there was nothing we could do. So the people are Carmax lied/had no idea what they were talking about when they sold us the car. 1. They can not hold a car for 72 hours 2. When you have another car sent from another location it voids any other car you were working on. So needless to say we were really mad at how they handled the situation and how two different employees gave us wrong information.

But it all worked out, I got my car for 3.2%, a better price, and I REALLY love it!

That's right, it's time for the OC Chrismukah marathon {can it be a marathon if there are only four episodes from the seasons? I'm sure I'll watch them more than once :)}

Some of the besties can not make it so twist-my-arm I will have to watch them all again sometime soon!

I don't know why I feel weird that I don't have it. To be honest, when I get it later tonight I will probably have no missed calls, maybe a few texts, and a couple of reminders I forgot to do. I think what I miss the most is not being able to text {silly I know} because if I really need to I can call people from my work phone {if I know their numbers :)}. I miss when I have down time at work texting friends to catch up, making plans with people, and getting an "I love you, have a great day" from Kyle.

So woe is me that I left my super fancy {make you want to drop what you're doing and go buy one yourself} cell phone all alone at the house ;)

Turkey time aka Kyle's favorite holiday

I am SUPER excited to have a FOUR DAY WEEKEND!! Tomorrow I will be watching Kyle play football with a bunch of his friends then traveling to see my brother and his family {my mom and dad will be there} and finally coming back to visit with Kyle's fam. They live about an hour apart and the meals start about the same time so I am going to have to rush my turkey eating at one place {this is where being able to travel like Sabrina the teenage witch with the snap of my finger would come in handy :)}

Friday I will be doing what most people dread...BLACK FRIDAY shopping. My mom and I will be going to Target. It really is not as bad as it seems. We have a game plan, we get their 15 min before they open and are in and out within an hour. I have never gotten anything big on Black Friday, like appliances or a TV, but if we ever do I would probably arrive at the store way early to make sure I got it.

Saturday we will be getting our Christmas tree :) It is a tradition with Kyle's family to cut down their own Christmas tree and then watch Christmas Vacation {they have memorized this movie, it is really funny when they quote it throughout the year}

Have a great Thanksgiving! The Lord has blessed Kyle & I and our families in many ways and I need to treasure that more! 

Using my gift

The Lord blessed me with the gift of being organized. It just comes naturally, I like things to have a place {I don't think I'm OCD if it's not in the right spot} and to be labeled so it cuts down searching through piles of paper. This weekend I'm going to organize our filing box {we really need a filing cabinet!} and it will not be tedious or awful to do. I love being organized and glad that our house will be more organized.

I will also be getting a new car {fingers crossed}!! I was suppose to get a car Monday then Thursday but sadly I am still without a new one. I will post about this crazy story soon but I have four words DON'T BUY FROM CARMAX.

Thus, being a grown-up means we have to pay a heating bill. So to not go broke, we have to keep our house at a low temperature

I guess I will stuck it up {because I have to} and deal with the cold weather. I may not enjoy it, but I can look forward to these things happening because of the snow...

Hopefully I will get a couple of these during my LAST college term {I would be SUPER happy}
