The decorations

Can you tell anything different about these streamers? They are ruffled and two colors! The idea came from here. They took longer than I thought {since I'm not very good at sewing} but looked really cool. Not sure I will do them again though :)

The monkeys hanging from the streamers {and the other cut outs} came from my friend Theresa's cricut {she always tells me I should get one, but then I would not have any excuse to stop by ;)}

The Food

Strawberries stuffed with cheesecake! These were AMAZING! Super easy too. I did not have the tool she uses so I just cut the strawberries with a knife

These were suppose to be lions and monkeys. They were suppose to look like these {Jen they were harder than they looked :)} but we tried our best 

O how I love stripped straws now! They raised the price a little since my friend Jen bought them {now 8 cents a piece :)} but they are still a killer deal. Thanks for sharing Jen!!

 I love games that are sentimental. Kyle's answers were priceless, the Campbell's love UC and the Crofford's love UK.

Ryan loves Star Wars so when I saw this cute idea I knew I had to do it.

The Gifts

I used this tutorial and this one for these cute onesies! Since I am not very experienced in sewing, I sewed some of them {well really Connie did it :)} and then ironed on the other ones.

This idea came from here. I cut the letters out of UC fabric {1/8 yard would be plenty} and then glued them onto grey card stock paper, it turned out better than I thought :)

Another bestie is having a baby! Ashley and Ryan are expecting Baby Lyle in less than a month. We had a cute, small shower to get them prepared for their little guy.

Mountain Momma take me home country roads

A couple weekends ago my padre and I traveled to good ole West Virgina to go Whitewater Rafting on the New River. I have been going for a little over ten years and this year we did something new, we did a bridge walk tour. During the bridge walk we walked across the New River Gorge canyon on a 24 inch wide catwalk - 850 feet above the river! It is the longest bridge in North America and is the highest vehicular bridge in the Americas, and the second-highest in the world - 3,030 feet (924 m) long and its arch extends 1,700 feet (518 m) {all information taken from the bridge walk site}.

I was not scared to do this once I knew we were harnessed in but my dad {who suggested we do this} was not as excited once we got out there. He did not like being out there at first, but did not show it and he was really uneasy because the catwalk shakes when semi-trucks or other large vehicles go over the bridge. I'm not sure I would do it again because nothing is really going to change but it was cool to do it.

We did it

Kyle and I played indoor soccer together

Here are some things you should know about our team

**It was a team full of Skyline employees or people that they hang out with {a few regulars from the Wyoming Skyline even came to watch a game}

**None of the girls had ever played soccer before {and we heard about it from the boys. Every team we played had girls that I'm sure had played soccer most of their life so they knew what they were doing, we did not}

**We did not win one game, womp womp {we came close a few times}. But most of us still had a good time playing

**Kyle is very competitive, which I knew, so he did not always like playing on the team because he did not feel like people were trying/many of us had never played soccer before

Would I want to play again? HECK YES! I really did enjoy playing even though I was not the best I became competitive/improved during the games. I enjoyed playing and would play on another indoor team that was not in a upper league :)

Going to a Grad party?

If you are, you should make one of these EASY gift card holders. The only thing I did was make a tag that had 2011 since the template found here said 2010.

Three Down Two To Go

Dear Husband

You are half way done!! Only two more terms or a little over four months {how ever you look at it} and you will be done with school!! I love that what you are learning is starting to click and you are able to apply it at work. I don't always like it when you try to use me as your study guide by poking me and telling me what this does and what that does :)

I am very proud of you, keep up the awesome grades!

This time last year we were busy finalizing the details of our wedding. I will busy doing DIY projects for the wedding and Kyle was painting our house. I was probably a little stressed about getting all the neat DIY ideas I had seen completed but it all worked out great and I could not have been more pleased. I'm sure I told my mom a bunch of times I never want to have an event this big again :) We have been praying through decisions in marriage like we never have before. For example, after reading this book I thought it would be a good idea to pray about where we should go on vacation for our Anniversary. After praying and searching God gave us this great condo. It has everything we were looking for and is a great price. I'll admit praying is not always the first thing I do when a situation arises, I usually try to think of a solution myself first but we are starting to let God have control of all the aspects of our marriage. All the Glory to him, who provides for us in amazing ways!
